Google Generation 2023 Google Undergraduate Student Scholarship


In order to improve the quality of life for those who work in the field of information technology, the government has launched a programme called "The Future of Computing" (Future of Computing). For the academic year 2023–2024, chosen students will receive a reward of 7,000 EUR (or its equivalent in their home country). The Generation Google Scholarship: for Women in Computer Science will be given based on each applicant's dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as their academic achievement and leadership abilities.


We strongly encourage women interested in computer science to apply because the programme is open to students who meet all of the minimum requirements.

Requirements for Google Generation Google Scholarship Qualification

Applicants must:


1. Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a bachelor's programme at an accredited university or college for the 2022-2023 academic year; 2. Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a bachelor's programme at an accredited university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2023-2024 academic year; 3. Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field; 4. Demonstrate a strong academic record; 5. Exe

1. Background information about yourself (such as your contact information and information about the universities you now attend and plan to attend)

2. Resume/CV

3. Transcripts of your current institution's classes

4. Responses to questions requiring a short essay


How to Apply

The two short essay questions that follow are meant to test your capacity for problem-solving as well as your dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. The answers to the following two questions should each be no longer than 500 words.


1. Describe a situation when you were confronted with a challenging issue for which there was no obvious solution. Clearly outline the steps you followed to arrive at the solution. What sources and options did you take into account? What did this experience teach you? Remember that you may have dealt with this issue at job, school, extracurricular activities, or your home.


2. Using your own experience, identify a roadblock to equal access to the technology sector. What do you think the underlying cause is? What steps have you taken and are you planning to take to remedy this injustice? Please devote at least 50% of your response to outlining the steps you have already taken. Remember that impact can occur in numerous ways and at various scales.

a PDF version of your résumé; if available, please list any leadership roles, extracurricular activities, and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
