JUST IN: President Tinubu meets NNPC MD Mele Kyari and Shell team in Abuja (Video)
Mele Kyari, the Group Managing Director, led a group of leaders from Shell Petroleum Development Company and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu's first real job after the Sallah celebrations and his trips to France on June 20 and London on June 24 was this meeting.
Yujnovich became Shell's Upstream Director on July 1. He has been a member of Shell's Executive Committee since 2021 when he was named Upstream Director.
She and three other Shell officials got to the Aso Rock Villa at 11:45 a.m., and they were led into the President's office building for the 12 p.m. meeting.
Reports said that the meeting was part of his administration's ongoing talks with leaders in the oil and gas industry.
The President had already met with Mr. Liam Mallon, Mr. Richard Laing, and Mrs. Adesua Dozie, all of whom work for Exxon Mobil, at the State House.
He also talked to other important people from the oil-rich Niger Delta area, such as Timi Alaibe, the former head of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NNDC), and Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the former head of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
