Nigeria has bought 50,000 needles to vaccinate animals against Anthrax in Naija state
The state of Naija in the centre of Nigeria has received 50,000 anthrax vaccines from the Nigerian government.
He stated that the animals in the state's Suleja local government region would receive the illness vaccination in a tweet posted by the national television network NTA.
Additionally, the state government of Nigeria purchased roughly 40,000 immunisations to complete the task of immunising the animals.
Domestic and untamed animals can get sick if they consume grass, drink contaminated water, or absorb the virus from contaminated soil.
Cattle, sheep, goats, and deer are the species that are most commonly affected by the illness.
Doctors also stated that interaction with infected animals or touching the remains of infected animals can cause people to contract the sickness.
The spread of the disease in the state of Naija was recently reported by Nigerian authorities, prompting the nation's health authorities to issue a warning against consuming the flesh of unhealthy animals.
Authorities in some of Nigeria's neighbouring nations, like Ghana, have already proclaimed the disease to be on the rise.
