Osun governor Adeleke appoints son of his brother as board chairman

Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun, chose the late elder brother's son, Isiaka Adeleke, to be the board chairman.

This comes just two weeks after Adeleke named Adenike Adeleke, the widow of his late older brother, as a commissioner.

Tunji Adeleke, the Governor's nephew and a 2020 Adeleke University graduate, was chosen to lead the Local Government Service Commission.

The announcement was made by the governor on Thursday in a statement released by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, his spokesperson.

According to the statement, Mr. Diran Odeyemi, a former PDP deputy national publicity secretary, was named chairman of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke, and Prof. Wale Oladipo, a former PDP national secretary, was named chairman of the Osun State University Governing Council.

They are Mr. Gbenga Onigbogi from the University of Ilesa, Mr. Diran Ayanbeku from the Osun State Polytechnic in Iree, Mr. Peter Babalola from the Osun State College of Education in Ila, and Senator Kola Ogunwale from the Osun State College of Health Technology in Ilesa.

The chairman of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, Mr. Niyi Owolade, the chairman of the Council for Arts and Culture, Mr. Ebenezer Ebenco, the chairman of the Housing Loans Board, Mr. Akanfe Atidade, the chairman of the Osun Tourism Board, and Mr. Sola Adewumi, the head of the Osun Internal Revenue Service have all been named.

Additionally listed are Alhaji Maruf Ishola, chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Mr. Funso Ishola, chairman of the Pilgrims Welfare Board (Christian Wing), Mr. Taju Adisa, chairman of the Primary Healthcare Board, Mr. Ibukun Fadipe, and Mr. Muyiwa Oloso, chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board.
