(Scholarships at the University of San Diego) Worldwide Fellowship Program for Women PeaceMakers at the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) in 2024
Scholarships at the University of San Diego The Women PeaceMakers Fellowship program has been run by the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice (Kroc IPJ) at the Kroc School of the University of San Diego for twenty years.
The best way to learn about the world's most important issues is to study it. Women peacebuilders from conflict-affected communities and international partner organizations can work together more effectively thanks to the Women PeaceMakers Fellowship. Additionally, the Fellows collaborate on research that aims to advance the area of peacebuilding and highlight effective methods for its planning and execution.

Aim and Benefits of Kroc IPJ Women PeaceMakers Fellowship Program
Objectives
1. Gain knowledge from and with the Kroc School team and other Fellows.
2. Get to know the Fellowship and previous Fellows.
3. Develop fresh viewpoints, abilities, and peacebuilding strategies.
4. Widen their networks of experts in peacebuilding
5. Promote crucial research on peacebuilding that focuses on influencing practice and policy
6. Review prior Fellowship-sponsored research.
Stipend
7. As compensation for their participation in the program, Fellows will receive a stipend of USD $5,000 plus expenses.
Qualification Standards for the Kroc IPJ Women PeaceMakers Fellowship Program
1. Anyone who considers themselves a woman peacebuilder and is actively attempting to break the cycle of violence is encouraged to apply.
2. Applicants may be from any nation, provided they can get to the United States to take up residence there.
3. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in peacebuilding.
4. Must be able to communicate in English well enough to participate in all Fellowship activities.
Date, Procedure, and Location of the Kroc IPJ Women PeaceMakers Fellowship Interviews
1. Typically in December, fellows will finish a two-week residency at the University of San Diego in the US. Depending on the COVID-19 epidemic and the travel needs of the Fellows, these dates are subject to change.
2. The Fellowship is centered on a research-structuring theme each year. Strong applicants will have relevant experience and knowledge.

2. Answer a few brief open-ended questions about their motivations for applying for the Fellowship, the skills that make them a suitable fit, the year's theme, and their interest in or prior experience in conducting research.

4. Deliver two letter of recommendation submissions
5. Be eager to participate in public gatherings and to share their knowledge and experiences with the Kroc IPJ team and the general public.
6. Have adequate English proficiency to participate in research meetings, cohort meetings, and public events where you can discuss your experiences.
