Sokoto's government has made a committee to look into Tambuwal's appointments.

Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has put together a group of nine people to look over all of the decisions made by the previous governor, Aminu Tambuwal.

Gov. Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State has put together a group of nine people to look at all of the decisions that former governor Aminu Tambuwal made near the end of his term.

Malami Dingyadi, a former minister of police affairs, was in charge of the group. Its job was to look into the appointments of some traditional rulers and the renaming of tertiary institutions.

Malam Abubakar Bawa, the governor's press secretary, said in a statement on Monday in Sokoto that the group would also look into how the institutions were moved and who was put on their Governing Councils by the previous government.

"They are also supposed to look at all of the recent appointments of traditional rulers made by former governor Aminu Tambuwal and deal with complaints about some of those appointments." "It is also their job to give advice to the government on any matter of public interest that has to do with the issue at hand."
