The Reason Why I Join Kano Government Affairs - Kwankwaso

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the national head of the NNPP and a former governor of Kano State, has explained why he continues to meddle in the affairs of the current state government.

Kwankwaso asserts that he is interfering with government operations in order for the leadership of the state to function as it should. He also claims that he did this so that the task of running the state may be accomplished as a team.

In an interview with Radio RFI, Kwankwaso, the former governor, made this statement. He claimed that the people of the state now want to witness the beginning of work in the state.

He asserted, "We are one team, and any attempts by the opposition to deflect the focus of the current state government would be ineffective.

According to him, "We are repairing the ruins that we are doing in Kano and it is something that started in 2019; and any governor who builds a building in a school, in a mosque, or in Badala, we will not guarantee that."

He asserted, "There is no plan in the world that calls for the destruction of the University and the construction of shops. During the eight years I served as governor of Kano State, I never gave anyone the slightest encouragement to construct a building, whether it be at the University or not."

"We have opened new places in Kano, such as Kwankwasiyya, Danladi Nasidi, and others, and we have all paid compensation," Kwankwaso continued. "But people want us to demolish the houses and pay them compensation."

"All the information is here to be kept," he asserted, "I have never given anyone even a foot of land in Badala, and I do not own anything there, so I did not order anyone to give it to someone else."
