In the past few years, Burger King has given thousands of college students millions of dollars in scholarships. The first step to becoming one of those thousands of students is to decide to apply. The Burger King Scholarship might be one of the best scholarships for high school grads. In fact, the Burger King McLamore Foundation wants to give away $1,000 for every Burger King store in North America. With more than 7,000 restaurants, that adds up to more than $7 million in scholarships for high school grads who qualify.
Don't put off submitting your application because Burger King will only look at the first 50,000 that are received before the scholarship deadline! Sign up for an email alert and we'll remind you to submit your application early when the October application window opens next fall.
The 2024 Burger King Scholarship
The Burger King Scholarship application period begins in October (the next date is October 15, 2021) and ends in December. The Burger King application deadline is December 15, 2021 (for the school year 2022-2023). Be a resident of the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico.
Be graduating high school students in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada, or finishing grade 12 in Canada or the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada.
Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent. Plan to enroll full-time, without breaks, for the entire 2018-19 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada, or Puerto Rico.
Notice that you don't have to be a salutatorian to submit your Burger King Application! Because of this, students with a 2.0 GPA should apply for the Burger King Scholarship. Imagine what you could do with an extra $1,000 or more toward your college degree! Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $50,000 (most scholarships are given at the $1,000 level). A wide range of students and degree programs can also apply for the Burger King Scholarship. You may be qualified if you are going to nursing school at a local vocational or technical school or if you are in a four-year bachelor's program at a state university. What's holding you back?
