BURGER KING Foundation And Scholarship Updates

The BURGER KING® Foundation, which was started in October 2005, is the charitable part of the BURGER KING® system. It is a 501(c)(3) charity that doesn't make any money for itself.

Together with Burger King employees, franchisees, suppliers, and customers, the Foundation has been able to do good things in the areas where we work and live. The Foundation now runs the BKSM Scholars program and the BKSM Family Fund.

The BURGER KINGSM Scholars program helps workers, their spouses or domestic partners, their children, and high school seniors in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada go to college. So far, more than 46,000 students have been given grants worth more than $53 million. Just for last year, grants worth $4.3 million were given to almost 4,000 students who deserved them.

Integrity, high standards, an entrepreneurial attitude, good citizenship, and education were the things that made James W. McLamore, one of the people who helped start the BURGER KING® brand, who he was. These ideals helped him make a dream come true, and they are also at the heart of the BURGER KING® Foundation, which will keep building on his legacy and his dedication to education.

Scholarship America® is in charge of this scholarship scheme. Awards are given to people of any race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, or country of birth.
