Senator Abdulaziz Yari asked the first question, where he asked to know what El-Rufai will do to improve electricity supply in Nigeria if the parliament confirms him, and President Tinubu appoints him as the Minister of Electricity.
Senator Karimi Sunday from Kogi West drew the attention of the House on what he called "a strong complaint against El-Rufai but the House did not listen to him."
Then Senator Khalid Ibrahim Mustapha, who represents Kaduna North, asked the House to allow El-Rufai to salute and pass, where he substantiated the position reached by the House in the past on people who were once ministers or governors.
The Majlisar agreed to Senator Khalid's request but requested El-Rufai to answer Senator Yari's question.
Responding, El-Rufai said Nigeria has the capacity to generate electricity and distribute it to the people of the country.
He said that there must be new electricity distribution companies in Nigeria because out of the 11 companies that are currently in this business, only three are managing their work properly.
The former governor of Kaduna State said that the repair of the electrical sector in Nigeria is something that requires the cooperation of all parties.
