Police in Sierra Leone arrested soldiers for rioting
The police in Sierra Leone have arrested many people, including military officers who are suspected of inciting conflict in the country.
The statement issued by the police said that those who were arrested were planning to start a conflict between the 7th and 10th of August.
The police have accused some people who have not disclosed their names, inside and outside the country of trying to bring conflict in the country. They also said that they are ready to ensure security and peace.
The West African country has been in turmoil since the re-election of President Julius Maada Bio on June 24.
On July 5, Mr Bio accused the West of causing confusion in the country, after expressing concern over the controversial June presidential election.
The country has been at peace since 2002, after the 11-year civil war ended.
