Even if I asked you for a ticket in Abuja, don't give it to me - Tinubu told Wike
The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has requested the Federal Capital Minister, Nyesom Wike, not to give him any free land even if he asked for it.
Tinubu said this at the annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Abuja.
Instead, the president called on Wike to give priority to the completion of the roads in the city of Abuja for the development of the residents of the city.
While delivering the speech, Tinubu described the Federal Capital Minister, Abuja, as "the owner of Abuja".
Tinubu said his aim is not to get free land, but to ensure that a train is provided to transport the people in the city.
Wike has been causing controversy since becoming a minister due to his vow to demolish the illegal constructions.
The Minister, during an official visit on Wednesday, said the Abuja Rail Link (ARMT) project should be completed within eight months.
