Muslim Scholars Have Again Visited Peace in Niger
For the second time in less than two weeks, a delegation of Islamic scholars from Nigeria visited the Republic of Niger on Wednesday evening, where they met with the leader of the coup army General Abdourahaman Tchiani and Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine.
- This is a continuation of the attempt to resolve the political crisis that the country is facing after the overthrow of the government of the elected President Mohamed Bazoum on July 26.
In a special interview with the Voice of America, the leader of the team, Sheik Abdullahi Bala Lau, said that there are signs of light in the efforts to reconcile the parties.
"This is a back-and-forth development between Nigeria and Niger, at the level before preventing Satan from gaining dominance in the political crisis that followed the coup d'état in this country," according to Sheik Bala Lau.
He added that the Presidents of the two countries respect the religious leaders, which shows the signs of success associated with the efforts that have been put forward. Therefore, he said that the teachers will continue to pray to seek a solution from God.
"Until now it can be said Alhamdulillah that the prayers that are being made have been accepted. Therefore, we are just waiting to see everything resolved in the cold water" according to Sheik Abdullahi Bala Lau, President of Izalatul Bidi'ah wa Kimatus Sunnah of Nigeria. and the leader of the group of Islamic scholars who intervene in the political crisis of the Republic of Niger.
