The Ecowas team landed in Yamai
The delegation sent by Ecowas to settle the political crisis in Niger arrived in Yamai, the capital of the country today Saturday.
The delegation under the leadership of the former military president of Nigeria, Abdulsalami Abubakar, was received by the Prime Minister of Niger, Ali Lamine Zeine, who was appointed by the military.
They are expected to discuss with the leader of the military regime, General Abdourahmane Tchiani, about how to return power to civilians.
Ecowas wants the army to return Mohamed Bazoum to power, whom they have been holding since July 25.
