The Nigerian Air Force will get 18 more fighter jets
The Chief of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, has said that the 18 new fighter jets that he bought will soon be delivered to the force to boost its operational capabilities.
Reports in Nigeria quoted the Chief of Air Force as saying this during a visit to launch some of the army's projects in Port City of Rivers State.
He said 12 of them are attack helicopters, which it bought from the United States, and the other six that it bought from Turkey, which will be delivered to Nigeria next September.
Two weeks ago, a military plane crashed in Niger state carrying soldiers who were injured in an ambush by bandits in the state.
