 The Nigerian Army rescued the Chibok schoolgirl after 9 years


The Nigerian Army has managed to rescue one of the girls from the Chibok school, who was abducted by Boko Haram after nine years in their hands.


Channels TV reported that the rescue was done in Maiduguri, Borno state, and she was presented at the headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai on Monday.


The student, who is the 55th student in the list of abducted schoolgirls, said that her husband, who was a member of Boko Haram, helped her to escape after surrendering to the Nigerian army.


She also told the television station that she gave birth to two children for her husband who was a member of Boko Haram but they both died.


The commander of the army, Major General Gold Chibuisi, said that the student was transferred to the army hospital to take care of her health, to ensure that she is in good health.
