The Statistics and Data Collection Agency on the Nigerian economy has released a statement that states that unemployment has decreased among Nigerians.
This figure released by the agency follows the high cost of living that Nigerians have been suffering since the inauguration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Since President Bola Tinubu's withdrawal of fuel subsidies on the day of his inauguration, the people of the country have been under economic pressure, where consumer goods have been rising steadily, and car transport has become more expensive than it has ever been in the country.

In a statement released by the National Bureau of Statistics (Nigeria Bureau of Statistics), the agency said that there was a reduction in unemployment by 4.1 percent compared to 5.3 percent at the end of 2022.
Semiyo Adediran, who is the Executive Director of the Commission, disclosed this while speaking at the launch of the report on Thursday in Abuja.
The director said they used the new statistics in Nigeria, which is now the same as other countries in the world.
He added that this assessment was done in collaboration with the World Bank and the International Labor Organization (ILO).
