Medical sources in Libya reported that there was a clash between some major armed groups in the city of Tripoli who did not see eye to eye with each other, where at least 27 people died and more than 100 were injured.
The conflict broke out between them on Wednesday night, after the security forces kidnapped the commander of one of the groups, although he was released on Tuesday.
The outbreak of the new conflict has re-awakened in Tripoli, the capital of Libya, after months of calm.
In 2020, a peace agreement was reached between the government and the groups, but it did not last.
