Governor Abba of Kano has launched the distribution of aid
Authorities in Kano state in the north of Nigeria have launched the allocation of food and agricultural subsidies to the people of the state to ease the pain of removing fuel subsidies.
The government said it has started distributing ten kilograms of rice and maize to households, especially those living in rural areas.
Two things were launched today Monday, the first is the distribution of agricultural products and handicrafts, and then the distribution of food support.
The governor of Kano, Abba Kabir Yusuf, said that they have saved a lot of the food they bought from the federal government to support people, especially women.
The governor added that from today they have launched a grant of 297,000 bags of rice, which will continue to be distributed to the poor in 484 constituencies of the state in 44 local governments.
In addition to this, women and men were distributed agricultural products including fertilizers, irrigation machines and corn mills.
