Russia is seeking to become a member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee again, after it was suspended due to the invasion of Ukraine last year.
The BBC has obtained a copy of the document that the country sent to the members of the United Nations, in which it presents some measures that it calls for solving the problems of human rights violations in the world.
This is happening despite a report by the United Nations on Monday revealing war crimes committed by Russia against civilians in Ukraine, such as torture and rape.
Diplomats claim that Russia is giving countries weapons and grain to get their votes. It will compete with Albania and Bulgaria for a seat in the committee in the elections to be held next month.
