The Nigerian National Police has warned residents of the area to take the law into their hands against those suspected of committing crimes, in order to avoid riots.

In a statement issued by the command through its media and public affairs department, SP Josephine Adeh, said she issued the warning following the attempt by some people to punish a man accused of stealing al 'aura in the Karshi area of the federal capital.

The statement said that the incident happened last Saturday, where three men said they felt something they did not recognize in their private parts after having sex with the man.

After that, a group of people attacked the suspect, but the police officers saved him when they arrived, shortly after the action was taken.

The reason for this is the Commissioner of Police for the federal city area, CP Haruna G. Garba has requested the public to refrain from taking such action.

In these days, stories have been circulated, which have not been verified on the development of people who steal genitals after joining the body or drinking hands with the community.
