The MNJTF has announced the killing of two members of the Boko Haram group and seized ammunition in the town of Mora in Cameroon.

The information is contained in a statement signed by the command's media officer, Lieutenant Colonel, Abubakar Abdullahi.

The announcement said that on the 10th and 19th of February, some Boko Haram members surrendered to the soldiers in Litri in Chad and Doron Baga in Nigeria. Weapons and ammunition were also found in the hands of the converted members.

The MNJTF added that the efforts of its forces led to the defeat of some terrorists in Bagasola in Chad and the recovery of three boats among other items seen in the hands of the people.

In a separate operation on the 19th of February, the army found some empty containers used to assemble the explosives, and the strength of the gunmen in the area was suppressed.

On Tuesday, the Chadian air force attacked the refuge of Boko Haram in the southern corner of Lake Chad near the border of Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria, which led to the killing of many terrorists and the destruction of their weapons. Several gunmen were also seen jumping into the lake from their boats and were presumed dead.

In the Republic of Niger, the army destroyed an attempt to smuggle weapons in the north of Nguigmi near the Niger-Chad border. A timely raid by the army led to the seizure of a cache of weapons - six AK47 rifles with ammunition and ammunition magazines.

The statement added that despite these successes, two soldiers - one from Nigeria and the other from Chad lost their lives while three others were wounded.

The MNJTF prayed for the soldiers who lost their lives and said that it is working hard to create peace and security and improve the necessary things for economic development and immigration without barriers in Lake Chad. .
