 The UN has requested an investigation into the deaths of 10 prominent opposition figures in Libya

The UN office in Libya has requested the country's government to confirm the investigation into the death of 10 people, including former minister Al-Mahdi Al-Barghathi, at the hands of the other side's government.

The United Nations said it is deeply concerned about the death of the people in the hands of the opposition as a result of the alleged torture since they were arrested on October 7 last year.

Their arrest came after a conflict broke out between the two governments, those who are supported by the United Nations and those who support Khalifa Haftar.

There are still no details on how the people died, but the condition of their bodies shows that they were tortured.
