The National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied rumors that he is involved in a plan to depose Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano.

Ganduje disclosed this in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Awareness, Chief Oliver Okpala.

The National Chairman of the APC is reacting to a report circulating on social media entitled "Ganduje has led a new plan to remove King Mohammad Sanusi", who alleged that it is "a new conspiracy" by Ganduje. He planned to remove Muhammadu Sanusi from the position of Emir of Kano.

The report quoted that, "Some sources from the Kofar Kudu palace, said that some influential people in Kano, under the leadership of the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, are plotting to impeach the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). ) from his position as Emir of Kano”

But responding to the report, Ganduje said that there is no truth in the claim, saying that it has nothing to do with the allegation of a new attempt to dethrone King Sanusi II.

Ganduje reiterated that he is not the governor of the state, and he is not the speaker of the state assembly, therefore, he has no authority to appoint or remove anyone as Emir of Kano.
