 We are deeply saddened by the news of the death of the Mauludi people in Saminaka Road - Kaduna Governorate

The governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani, was shocked to learn of the death of 40 people in a tragic car accident in Saminaka, Lere local government of Kaduna state.

The accident happened on Sunday, September 15, 2024 where a J5 car carrying Mawludi people collided with a trailer while they were on their way to Saminaka town to attend a Mawludi event to mark the occasion among them is the birthday of the best creation, Prophet Muhammad SAW.

Some 48 of the children were injured in this tragic incident and are currently receiving treatment in different hospitals.

The governor was very shocked by this act, where he said, "his thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased and those who were injured in the accident."

The governor ordered the state health commissioner to ensure that the injured were given adequate medical care.

The governor added that the government will support the families of the deceased with the aim of providing assistance to ease their pain.
