 The court adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu after continuing its session today, Friday

 The leader of the outlawed group Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) appeared before the Federal High Court on Friday in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

 However, one of his lawyers, Aloy Ejimakor, said the court under Justice James Kolawole adjourned the hearing of the case to April 29 and May 2 and 6, 2025.

 The continuation of Nnamdi Kanu's case comes after Chief Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekunnyefere appointed Justice James Kolawole Omotoshi as the new judge to hear the case after Kanu complained against Justice Binta Nyako.

 It is predicted that the seven accusations against Kanu by the Nigerian government will be reviewed during the trial, which include sedition and terrorism.

 In December 2023, the Supreme Court ordered Kanu to return to the Federal High Court to defend the charges against him after Binta Nyako dismissed eight of the 15 cases presented by the government in 2021.

 The Nigerian government took Kanu to court after he was arrested in a foreign country in 2021, and members of his organization banned by the government are still seeking to escape from Nigeria to establish the country of Biafra.
