But today, more and more filmmakers are releasing their work online, allowing millions of fans to enjoy Kannywood content from anywhere in the world.

YouTube remains the most popular platform, with channels like “AREWA24,” “Saira Movies,” and “Nuhu Studios” attracting thousands of viewers per day. But beyond YouTube, some films are now being featured on Netflix Naija, AfreVod, and mobile apps tailored for African content.
