Thursday night Jones and the Cowboys reached a deal to sell Parsons to the Packers. They traded two first-round draft picks and a defensive tackle Kenny Clark, a three time Pro Bowl player, to the Cowboys.
Parsons joined the Packers when he was signed to a four year 188 million contract according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Out of that, 136 million dollars will be ensured. He will begin the 2025 season an average of 47 million dollars, becoming the highest-paid non-quarterback player in NFL history.
Abdul Carter, a New York Giants edge rusher who is a first-time player, took the money. Similarly to Parsons, Carter was a dominant wearing No. 11 at Penn State.
