Arkansas wide receiver Jalen Brown did not return to the field in the third quarter after he appeared to suffer a serious injury on the lower part of his body.
Brown tried to catch a third-down pass sent to him in the endzone by Taylen Green. As he was flying, one of the Notre Dame defenders hit him and disbalanced him. His left leg seemed to give way under him when Brown landed. (You can see the play here. Medical trainers were attending to Brown on the field and he was then carted off. Brown is a redshirt sophomore and claimed by ESPN was immediately taken out of the stadium to Arkansas Childrens Northwest Hospital in Springdale Arkansas to undergo X-rays. His first school was LSU, where he started working in 2023, transferred to Florida State in 2024 and joined Arkansas in the previous offseason.
The sixth-foot-one wideout was a significant contributor in all of his first five appearances. Brown received 2TD passes in the first 2 games of the Razorbacks. In his first 3 games, he at least had 3 catches.
Brown entered the Notre Dame game with 11 receptions, 156 yards and 2 scores. He received 11 yards and had 1 reception prior to leaving the game on Saturday.
