MSNBC Anchor Nicolle Wallace Weds Michael Schmidt 

According to a spokeswoman for MSNBC who talked with PEOPLE, Nicolle Wallace and Michael Schmidt married the knot over the past weekend.

The marriage between Nicolle Wallace and Michael Schmidt has been made official.


A representative for MSNBC has confirmed to PEOPLE that Wallace, 50, and Schmidt, 38, tied the knot over the past weekend. The information was initially reported for the first time on Page Six.


During the episode of Deadline: White House that aired on MSNBC on Monday, Wallace was shown wearing something on her ring finger that gave the appearance of being a wedding band.


According to Page Six, the couple who recently tied the knot met one other on Wallace's show and began dating in March of 2019.

The former co-host of The View was previously married to Mark Wallace, who serves as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Their marriage lasted from 2005 to 2019. The exes share joint custody of their son, Liam.


Before joining MSNBC, Wallace worked for the White House as the director of communications under the administration of President George W. Bush. Prior to that, he was the top advisor for John McCain and Sarah Palin's campaign for the 2008 presidential election. In addition to that, she worked as a co-host on The View for a period of one year until leaving the show in 2015.


During this time, Schmidt has held roles at NBC News, MSNBC, and the New York Times during the course of his career.
